04 March 21 - Conservatory Cleaning

Over the seasons, our conservatories can become relatively neglected, exposed to the elements from surrounding trees and plants' life, to loose moss on our roof tiles. And no one likes enjoying the sun through a grubby conservatory. We know this best as every time the sun peaks. Our phone doesn't stop with enquiries for us to clean conservatory in the Uckfield Crowborough and Heathfield area.

However, we get asked a lot when carrying out maintenance window cleaning or over the phone with new enquiries. Could you flick over my conservatory quickly with your pure water?

If only it were that easy!

Cleaning a conservatory is a very time-consuming job due to the awkward shapes, heights and angles. On top of this, the conservatory is a roof and holds lots of debris, dirt and dust. That becomes baked and ingrained into the glass, making them difficult to clean.

But we can CLEAN THEM FOR YOU.

However, it's not as easy as just flicking the pure water over the glass roof.

Here's just a brief overview of the process we go through each time cleaning our customer's conservatory.

When cleaning a conservatory, you aim to be above the glass roof. This helps with rinsing down the glass and pulling any foreign bodies, moss, dirt and grime off the roof.

Step One, we set up our ladders.

Step Two, with a telescopic pole with a cloth attachment, we remove all the heavy dirt and objects off the conservatory glass.

Step Three, then we soak the conservatory roof with mains water to help soften any of the baked-on dirt.

Step Four, We apply our in-house cleaning liquid to clean the glass and PVC frames and structure. It is biodegradable and environmentally friendly, so it will not harm your garden or the environment as a whole.

Step Five, after agitating the conservatory's glass and PVC structure, we then clean the glass again with a bronze wool pad to remove any hard water stains/mineral deposits left by moss sitting on the glass.

Step Six, now we carry out our first rinse; this is to remove any of the broken up moss of the glass from agitating the frames clean.

Step Seven, after rinsing all the glass panels, we carry out a spot check with a microfibre towel, making sure we've cleaned all the nooks and crannies.

Step Eight, we have pulled all the dirt and grime off your conservatory roof; it has to go somewhere, which is the conservatory gutters included in our prices. We will then clear the conservatory gutters making sure all water runs freely.

Step Nine, at this stage, we can now flick over your conservatory with our pure water. This is the final rinse; we will then scrub all glass panels, frames, PVC structure, and windows again with pure water.

Step Ten, looking for our sunglasses! After completing the final rinse with the pure water, the conservatory will now be gleaming and ready to enjoy the summer.

We hope this little overview gives you an idea of what goes behind our conservatory cleaning service, to help explain to new and old customers that it's not a quick job and is very time-consuming this is reflected in the price. On average, it takes between 20-25 minutes per panel to clean.

So if you have a conservatory six panels large, it would take us 2 1/2 hours to clean your conservatory to our standards.

We are always more than happy to help our customers with cleaning advice if they would like to tackle this job themselves as this service can be quite expensive if you have a large conservatory.

If you don't fancy tackling the beast yourself, Harry is always here to help!
