30 March 25 - Harry’s Cleaning Visits the Cleaning Expo UK 2025

New Gear, Big Ideas, and Industry Inspiration

This past weekend, we headed up to the Midlands for one of the biggest events in our calendar — The Cleaning Expo UK 2025, now a two-day event at NAEC Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. The venue was the perfect indoor space to bring together suppliers, manufacturers, and exterior cleaning pros from across the UK.

From the moment we walked in, the energy was buzzing. This expo has grown into the go-to event for anyone in the industry looking to stay ahead — whether you’re eyeing up the latest kit, catching product demos, or just having a chinwag with fellow cleaners.

Catching Up with Suppliers and Making New Connections

We kicked things off by checking in with our local supplier Sean at The Cleaning Hub. As well as running a busy shop, Sean also manages a thriving window cleaning business in Eastbourne — so it was great to pick his brain on everything from staff motivation to scaling up. We stocked up on some window cleaning essentials while we were there too.

Next stop was the Uncleanables Podcast stand — the UK’s best exterior cleaning podcast (in our opinion). Hosted by Ryan and Dan, these lads keep us company on many of our window and gutter jobs. We entered their raffle (fingers crossed!), grabbed some stickers for the control box, and had a laugh talking all things cleaning. You can check out their content at theuncleanables.co.uk.

Gutter Vacuum Upgrades Incoming

On the gutter clearing front, we tested out the latest vac systems from different brands — giving them a proper throw-around to see which could handle real-world conditions. After a few solid demos, we placed an order with Gutter Vacuum Systems for their newest model.

We had a great catch-up with Julia and Mark, too. Mark’s always been ahead of the game — we still remember when he launched the Predator vac and toured the UK delivering them by hand. Ours has served us well, but it’s now time for a well-earned retirement as we bring in the new beast.

A Powerful Reminder About Safety

One of the most moving parts of the weekend was hearing from Jason Knight and his father John, who gave a powerful talk on overhead electrical safety. Jason, a window cleaner from Wiltshire, survived a 33,000-volt shock when his pole got too close to overhead power lines. He lost his left forearm and several toes — and is now campaigning alongside his dad for better safety standards and pole insulation.

It was a sobering moment and a powerful reminder of the risks we face. At Harry’s Cleaning, we’re committed to upgrading to safer equipment and doing our bit to promote awareness in the industry.

We also caught up with The Federation of Window Cleaners to learn more about training and safe working practices — something we’re passionate about improving across the board.

Taking on Terry (Sort of…)

We couldn’t resist stopping by to meet Terry ‘Turbo’ Burrows — the Guinness World Record holder for fastest window cleaner. He’s held the title for 29 years and challenged us (and everyone else) to beat his record of 3 windows cleaned in 9.14 seconds. Safe to say we didn’t break any records, but we had a laugh trying!

Stocking Up on Essentials

We made sure to swing by DA Components — always a key supplier for us, especially when it comes to our solar panel cleaning gear. Darren’s bronze wool pad holders and non-scratch pads are serious time-savers.

We also had a great chat with the team from Squeegee — the software that powers everything behind the scenes at Harry’s Cleaning. From day one, Squeegee has helped us manage quotes, customer info, and scheduling. Fun fact: we first came across them at one of their early trade shows in London, which just proves how valuable these events can be.

Final Stop – Pressure Washing Heaven

Before heading home, we visited Equip2Clean. Jonathan gave us a guided tour of their massive stand, full of pressure washers, generators, and pro-grade cleaning gear. Their latest kit looks seriously promising — we’ve already got a few purchases lined up for later this year.

Wrapping Up the Weekend

All in all, it was a brilliant weekend — full of networking, learning, a few cheeky beers, and a proper buzz about where the industry is heading. Massive thanks to Cleaning Expo UK for putting together such a top-tier event, and to everyone we chatted with along the way.

We’re excited to roll out our new equipment and continue offering our customers the best results possible. At Harry’s Cleaning, reinvesting in the latest tools, training, and safety standards has always been a core part of our ethos — and weekends like this remind us why we love this industry.

Stay tuned on our socials for more pics and videos from the event — and maybe a few sneak peeks at our new gear in action soon!
