A small change to our cleaning rounds – and why it’s a good thing

Over the past year, we’ve taken a proper look at how our window cleaning rounds are working in practice.

Traditionally, Harry’s Cleaning has operated a mix of 4-weekly, 8-weekly and 12-weekly rounds. While this has worked well for many customers, we’ve found that juggling so many different frequencies has started to affect reliability and efficiency, particularly with 4-weekly and 8-weekly cleans alongside our 12-weekly round.

As a growing business, it’s really important that we work in the most efficient way possible. Not just for us behind the scenes, but so we can keep delivering a great service and fair pricing for our customers.

Moving to an area-based schedule

From now on, we’ll be moving to a more area-based, themed schedule. This means we’ll be focusing on cleaning the same streets and neighbourhoods together, rather than chasing different time-based rounds across wider areas.

To make this work smoothly, our regular cleaning frequencies will now be:

  • 6-weekly

  • 12-weekly

This change allows us to reduce wasted travel time, cut down on unnecessary journeys, and spend more time actually cleaning windows. It also means we’re more consistent in the areas we work, which helps with reliability and planning.

What this means for existing customers

  • If you’re currently on a 4-weekly or 8-weekly round, you’ll be moved onto a 6-weekly clean.

  • Some customers may see a small reduction in price, reflecting the improved efficiency of the new schedule.

  • If your price stays the same, this is because under the new structure it would otherwise have increased, but we’re absorbing that difference thanks to efficiencies we’ve made elsewhere.

  • Customers on a 12-weekly round may see a small price increase, but this will be communicated clearly and fairly.

No matter your frequency, everyone will continue to receive the same high standard of work, care, and attention to detail that Harry’s Cleaning is known for.

Why we’re doing this

From a behind-the-scenes point of view, this makes job scheduling, route planning, and overall management much simpler. More importantly, it gives us a solid foundation to grow sustainably through the year ahead, without compromising on service.
